California fires?

Question

The whole dang state is on fire, I can't go outside without choking and my lungs burning. The cats are climbing the walls, and probroly ready to kill me, I'm going to have to sleep with one eye open. How are the rest of you Californians handling this? what do you do when your stuck inside? I have done a lot of cleaning.

While not in California and feeling bad about the whole situation there, I'm glad you still have a sense of humor. That about the cats has made me laugh!!!!!!!!

And on a more serious note, just think that there are other pretty bad things happening all around the US at this moment. There's the heat wave on one part and the tornadoes and storms in another. And then there's all that water from the MISSISSIPPI River, which by the way had left only one levee half-standing up till yesterday.

If you're really bored just turn on the TV; I'm sure boredom will disappear as you look at the screen!

Its just madness I drove from fort bragg to fresno on sunday night and back home on monday night it was just crazy coming up the willits grade I could see the fire just burning away.  we have been staying inside to keep clear from the smoke I sure hope we can get some help from all the other agencies to get these things put out soon.

Some of the smoke has headed here to Nevada and fouled the air in Clark County. Because I have COPD I've been restricted in my outdoor activities for most of this week. Tuesday we even had a health warning because of the smoke. Fortunately, my home town ball team is on a road trip but I'm watching a few other games on TV and catching the road games and some other minor league games via web streaming on the computer. I guess I'll have to wait until I don't hear the birds coughing in the morning to venture outdoors for most of the day.

California has four seasons, earthquake season, rainy season, smog season and fire season, it has always been like that for decades. I lived there all my life and hated it. I don't know how people live there or afford to live there. Of course, out of Los Angeles it might be OK if you're a millionaire...
