California motorcycle license???????????

Question

I want to get a motorcycle license but heres my question, I dont have a motorcycle and if I was to buy one how could I get it insured? if I dont have a MC license? cause I know the insurance guy will ask me for my MC license first ( just like when you insure a car ) and heres another question, if I had a MC how would I be able to show proof of insurance to the place where you take the MC highway test ( not sure what its called ). Just to let you know I dont know anyone who has a MC so I could borrow it to take the test.

I constantly see adds in craigslist for people in the same situation looking to borrow an m.c. (nominal fee) to do this.You would probably be better off buying one first if possible.There are two different kinds,one around town-lower c.c's and one for freeways. Just borrowrent the larger.All they make you do is tootle around some cones in their parking lot.

u would go get your permit first them buy a bike then get it insured. u take the test at the dmv i believe.

in California it's called an M1 and you can skip your permit by taking a Motorcycle training program for around $250 which includes 2 days of instruction with a bike. If you pass, not hard to, you can apply for your license right away and you'll get a certificate which may lower your insurance.
