California or florida?

Question

I am originally from southern California and I moved to Pensylvania for two years where I met my fiance. We recently moved to Florida to get away from the bad winters. I don't really like living in florida there are too many bugs and it always seems to be humid and rainy. Here is my problem, I really want to move back to california to be closer to my family and have more opportunities for employment. I would like to know if anyone has lived in the Northeast and moved to California and what they think about it so I can try to help my fiance (who has never been to the west coast) make a decision if he wants to move. I would like to know what people think so I don't only have my opinion to share with him in making the big decision. Thanks!

The only great thing about the west coast (i live on the coast of central california) is that its NOT HUMID! ^_^ (I know the east coast too as I have  been in North Carolina were its ALWAYS humid.)

The only bad thing about California is that theres very little employment.
