California versus texas?

which has better cost of living, climate, more friendliness, better higher education, etc?

I live in Ca, cost of living is ridiculous, education is getting its budget cut ever month it seems like, ***-holes are everywhere regardless of location, very nice weather.

Texas has lower cost of real estate, lower cost of living, warm climate most of the year, with mildly cold winters.  And some great colleges here.  Unfortunately however, it is the belt buckle of the bible belt.  Getting caught with 1/4 oz of weed will net you $1k fine, 2 years of probation, and court ordered sweat patches that cost you $120 a month for the entire 2 years you are on probation.  I F'ing hate texas.

It's a rout Texas.  California is overpopulated, the traffic is bad, the crime rate is through the roof, and the people are not to friendly.
