California vs Las Vegas for poker player?

Question

Which place is better for a professional poker player to live

Las Vegas or California? (based on where more amateur players play).

I know Las Vegas has more poker rooms but does that mean there are more experts there or more experts in california card rooms?

(in other words I would like to move somewhere that has more new poker players or less skilled)

I think Vegas is a better place because real estate is less expensive, like in Henderson NV.  In Vegas you do get an influx of tourists that always make money easy to take.  In the California casinos poker is all they play so I would figure the players are better...

Las Vegas because of the 40 Million + tourists that visit there a year and the selection of poker rooms. However there is tons of sharks in Vegas. At any table you will you usually find at least 2 grinders however overall it would be much better then california and you can always to go Cali on the weekends if you want. But all in all nothing beats playing online, because A. the rake is less. B you can Multi table. C. even if you play 1 table you're getting in 3x the hands per hour. If you multi table you can get in more hands in a day then a month playing live. and D. probably most important is the huge poker bonuses you can get, forget rakeback if you chase bonuses you can earn a extra couple grand a month. Living expenses are far less in Nevada (although still quite high compared to the rest of the country) and there is no state or city income tax. There are also a lot more poker rooms, and a lot more tourists who came just to gamble at whatever and ended up at a poker table. What that means is you'll have an easier time making money, and you'll be able to keep a lot more of it.
