Call Of Duty likely to win Betdaq Haydock Park Apprentice Training Series Handicap
Call Of Duty will be using all his experience in order to claim the Betdaq Haydock Park Apprentice Training Series Handicap (Part of The Racing Excellence Initiative) in England. He will have to cope up with a couple of more seasoned campaigners like Amir
Pasha and General Tufto, but both of them have not been performing well in recent times.
Therefore, the real competition will be amongst the veteran, Call Of Duty, and youngster, Stock Hill Fair. Both are very good runners, but the latter has mostly done well on the soft ground and today will be a real test of his skills, as he will have to
cope up with the good track conditions.
Five other participants will also be trying their luck in the class-5 event, which will start at 17:50 GMT. The bookmakers have given a starting price of 11 to 8 to Stock Hill Fair for this event whereas his main rival has been priced 11 to 2.
There is an immense difference between their starting price and the punters are likely to bet on the younger runner. However, there is no substitute for experience, thus Call Of Duty cannot be ruled out of contention.
The seven-year-old gelding has been representing his owner since December 2007 and he earned a victory in the very first race of his career. Despite starting his career on a high, he failed to deliver solid results with consistency.
However, the Dianne Sayer’s trainee likes running at Haydock, as he has done well at this venue in the past. He has participated in two races here and managed to win one of them whereas finished as third once.
Both these races took part in the 2012 season and the conditions back then were almost similar to what they are today. Due to this, Storming Home’s son will be full of confidence right now and his team will be expecting a strong show from him.
Call Of Duty ended up fourth in his previous race, but the track was soft back then, which is why he struggled to finish amongst the top three. His partner at Haydock will be Garry Whillans, who is fully capable of winning races.
