I live in las vegas. We get 300+ days of sunshine every year. That leaves 65 days of rain, or cloudiness/overcast/whatever. Out of those rainy days, we sometimes get the monsoon rains, with lotsa lightning, high winds, and SOMETIMES, sometimes we get some street flooding out of the deal. Other than that, it's a pretty uneventful climate here in sin city!
Part of me wishes there were more severe storms, more rains, winds, lightning, but not the flooding! Is that bad? Anyone else out there who has a pretty boring climate? I would love to move to seattle, just for the rainy days! I love the rainy nights (sing it, Eddie Rabbitt!) , and yes, the rainy days, too. Perhaps someday i will do just that. I would also love to live in the east coast, with lotsa blizzardly (is that a word?) days, or maybe even live in Florida, with the hurricanes and the tropical storms. I was born in California, where we experienced 3 or 4 days of mostly rainy weather. Since moving here to Vegas, there are somedays of maybe 3 or 4 HOURS of rainy weather. Then it clears up again.
Someday, i may move to a more exciting weather climate, but In the meantime, i'm stuck here in Vegas.
