Call of Duty 4, local connection, one cd-key?

Question

So essentially, I'm an intern at this company and the guys here want to be able to play Call of Duty 4 (PC) on a local connection. I have a retail copy of COD4 (one serial key). I know that u don't need the DVD to play so if we install the DVD on multiple machines, would we be able to play over the local connection ? Thanks very much

Sure you can play local connection but the problem is that you can't play the internet...
