Call placed from our house phone that we didn't make?

So heres what happened.

My dad got the phone bill for our land line (we have AT&T) and it said that a long distance phone call was placed on Chrismas Eve and 810AM. But heres the thing. me and my mom were out doing some last minute christmas shopping and my dad was at work and my siblings were asleep. no one else was in the house.

is there a way we can make a complaint or something or what can we do about it?

Call your service provider and place a report.

it was a crossover line. may be the telephone divert station had accidentally switched the line.

my solution: call the number which was dialed and asked them who called and charge the telephone company or the person who called.
