Call shot or call pocket?

Question

In your area or fave tavern or hall... what is your rule when playing 8-ball, call shot or call pocket? Call shot means calling all kisses and caroms amd call pocket means just call the ball to the pocket w/o calling kisses, rails or inadvertant contacts. I've played both types of house rules and my personal rule of thumb when playing at a new bar is I'll play by any rules as long as I know what the **** the rules are so i always ask first, especially in a money game! Please include your area with your answer to help me in my travels. Thanks. LTB
