The tour model club comes with the club face set to 0.5 degrees open. Doesn;t this defeat the purpose of offering the clubs in a draw model?

  1. Try http://www.goosepoops.com.  They have links to several retailers for golf gear (ie: clubs, balls, shoes, gloves, apparel etc.)

It's also a network for golfers where you can join or form groups, have discussions in a forum, read and comment on user submitted golf stories, submit your own golf stories and find courses.

  2. thats what i'm thinking too, is it a misprint?

  3. NO. Some actually want their draw straighter, cause they tend to hook. Overall i think the ft5 is a lot of hype with no performance. Too much spent on research, and not enough on development. The fti i do like though. In fact i own one.

  4. No it doesn't defeat hitting a draw.  The draw bias is achieved through more weight in the heel of the club.  Most drivers nowadays have the face a little bit closed, .5 degrees open would just allow you to work the ball more easily - expecially left to right.

  5. If your callaway has a point 5 degree loft, the face is "open". It its point 0, the face is "closed".  Its a visual thing. It's up to the player to open or close the face. If the face of the driver comes slightly closed, wouldnt you still aim the face at the target?  Quality players usually hate the look of a shut face and get frustrated by having to rotate the face slightly to aim.

  6. The purpose of the draw model is the weighting, not the open/close of the face.  I would stay away from the draw models they teach you a flawed swing instead of letting correct your swing.
