Hi i am a 15 year old golfer and i shoot in the mid 80s and i am confused because im trying to get a new set of irons. Im thinking about the Callaway x-18s ( graphite) and on this webste for flex it asks me to pick between lite and regular. I hit these clubs before but i am unsure as what i should be getting.

Thanks

  1. X-18s are very unforgiving.  I'm fourteen and i got callaway fusion irons and they are very good and very forgiving.

  2. It depends on swing speed. If you are sure you are between these two flexes, keep in mind that a more flexible shaft can be longer on your better shots, and a stiffer shaft can be more accurate on your better shots.

If you feel you are a good ball striker, I'd go with the slightly more accurate regular flex. If you feel you really need the distance help, then I'd use the lite flex.
