I called in sick to work a few minutes ago. I woke up with what seems to be a stomach virus of some sort, the runs to put it bluntly, plus I'm all achy and feel like I'm running a low fever. When I called in I told them I had a stomach virus and wouldn't be in. I told them I gave it a few hours to see if it would get better but it wasn't so that's why I was calling in. I really don't feel good, but I feel bad for calling in, now they have to find someone else to work my shift :(

  1. don't feel guilty for a business

  2. It's a health code violation for you to go to work like that.

Not only would you be suffering and pretty much useless (sorry to be so blunt), but the company you work for could get in trouble if you showed up like that and a health inspector came in and saw you.

Don't worry, honey, you're doing yourself and the business a favor, whether you think so or not!

  3. If you're really sick, as it sounds, there's no reason to feel guilty.

You'd be useless in that shape anyway, and there's no reason to be miserable.

  4. What exactly is the question here?

  5. dont sweat it... enjoy your day off.

  6. if you had went to work you would not get much work done anyways you would have just been running to the potty and you would have shared your bug with everyone else so you did the right thing

  7. Don't feel bad! Just worry about getting better so you can be a better employee then. They will be fine because they know things like this will happen!

Drink some chicken soup and I hope you get better!

  8. I know how you feel... I feel guilty calling in sick... even if it's legit.... but you know what, you are human and it happens. You definitely wouldn't be in good shape to work in that condition... I know I couldn't work if i felt like I needed to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes! Plus, if you stay home and rest today, you have a better chance of feeling well tomorrow. You are taking care of yourself... don't feel guilty. What's done is done, and I am sure they've already found someone to cover your shift anyhow! Take care dear!
