Question:

Called name by Mexican coworker?

Everyday I am repeatedly called something or referred to as something by my mexican coworkers. I am a hostess and they work in the kitchen. We used to get a long, but now I know they talk about me and I am unsure of what they are saying and it makes me feel uncomfortable.

I don't know how to spell it, but whatever they call me sounds like "vervitas" or "varveetas" or "verveetahs", "verefeetas", just to give you a few ideas. I don't know if it's one term or two, perhaps two, but that's how it sounds.

Please help, I have looked online to try to find these terms and cannot.

Thank you.

  1. little brown noser, it's barbitas.

  2. It sounds like:

    1. "bebitas" a female diminutive in plural for "baby"

    2. "bebidas" drinks.

    3. "barbitas" little beards (this make no sense)

    Hope that helps.

  3. Barbitas that means beard  but somethimes we (Mexicans) use this word meaning to anyone that is all along day like sneak u know always behind ur boss

but i don't know if he say it to u in bad or good way

  4. could it be barbitas?  it could be that you have facial hair (barba = chin,  and also beard) .. a slang word with the same name is to use barbitas to call someone a brown noser (barbero, barbera, barbas, barbitas).

  5. it's someone with a goatie, or someone that kisses butt a lot.

  6. You should confront them or talk to your supervisor/lead.

Maybe your just being paranoid and "varveetas" is a play on your name or hostess position.

  7. verijitas

    is little  p  u  s  s  y    in spanish

    bebidas: beverages

    bebita: baby
