The fixtures between Real Madrid and Sevilla always carry a lot of hype as the latter manage to surprise the former most of the times.
However, during the last season, Real Madrid were able to dominate against Sevilla as they picked up two 6-2 wins over their opponents while being away to Roman Sanchez Pizjuan during the Spanish La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
Even though Madrid have been dominating Sevilla for the past few fixtures, Callejon believes that Los Blancos will not be taking things lightly as they take on Sevilla in the upcoming Spanish La Liga fixture.
Real Madrid have taken a slow start to the campaign as they could only savour a single point against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 in their opening La Liga match.
Later, Madrid faced Getafe as their second La Liga opponents and they were able to shock the current Spanish champions, as the match ended 2-1 in favour for Getafe and the Madrid fans were given a huge shock.
However, last time Jose Mourinho sent out his men, he managed to impress the audience as Madrid picked up a 3-0 victory over Granada.
Now, Real Madrid have to build upon the victory against Granada and Jose Callejon believes that even though Los Blancos have dominated Sevilla in their previous fixtures, they will not be taking their opponents lightly as the two teams collide in the Spanish
La Liga.
While speaking about Sevilla, Callejon said:
“Every time we go to Sevilla it is very difficult. For the team and the great players they have they can embarrass us.”
“But as I always say, we are Real Madrid and we have to go anywhere to win, because that is our target.”
Callejon also spoke about the Champions League fixtures which Real Madrid will be playing soon. The former Espanyol star said:
“We are really looking forward to the Champions League. It is a tournament that we love to play. We have had a very difficult draw and I hope we do our best to win the group and make the knockout phase as simple as possible.”
