Caller ID Problem...?

Question

Someone is calling me from a landline phone, and sometimes the number will show up as restricted and a few other times it has shown up as a few different numbers. I thought he was using different phones, but he says he is not. Is it possible for a landline phone to show up this way?

yes its possible...it happens to me alot...

if hes calling from work then there could possibly be a few different numbers on there telephone system and hes just grabbing whatever line is spare. if its from home or a mobile then it sould be the same number

yes, my family calls me from out of the country and it shows up as a local number.
