Caller ID--answering machine?

If you call someone who has caller ID, but he isn't there to take the call and a voice answering machine comes on, will your number and information be kept on the person's phone?

yes for the message. and maybe on the caller ID. if the person gets lots of calls the caller ID will dump them as new numbers show up. it all depands on the program of the caller ID on how much numbers it can hold.
