Can anyone help? I have DSL filters on all lines. We do have wi-fi in the house and I'm wondering if that is the issue. I've tried all the phone jacks with the same result. Could updating the filters help? I'm so frustrated!

  1. I have a phone that needs TWO DSL filters to work properly. Personally, I think that 'DECT' technology is a bunch of hype. I would try a different cordless phone, (or borrow one) to see if it is a phone problem. I have tried 2.4, 5.8, 900 Mhz., and never had a problem with any interference. Most all cordless phones have several channels, if they experience any issues with communicating on a particular channel. DECT works on 1.9 Ghz., but there is no significant difference in range, performance, etc.! All cordless phones use a very low power and poor antenna system, average power, 100 milliwatts!! (That is one tenth of a watt..) Some only cover a few rooms away, while others can cover the entire home, depending on construction materials in the walls. Best range is 'line of sight'.
