Calling All Pet Lovers..What would be best to be included in a Pet Lover's / Friendly Cafe??

What would be the things that people want to see or have in a "pet lover's" cafe??...a small library? a interaction area? pet groomers?...hope you guys can help by just naming anything you would want to see of have in the cafe...

I think you would have a hard time opening a cafe that allows pets.  It would be a health code violation.

If you are looking to simply bring people together that are pet lovers, an indoor dog park would be a great idea.

Have a large arena that is easy to clean and fenced in so that people can let their dogs run and play.  A small shallow wading pool that is about 15 feet across and 2 feet deep would be fun for swimmers.

Seating for people where they can buy pre-wrapped foods like muffins and bottled drinks would not be against any code, but you should sell things that won't make dogs sick and avoid chocolate.  Avoid carpets an upholstered furniture as I can guarantee that it will be urinated on.

Have an area for dog training, as it is a low cost and high profit service.

Grooming can be two ways... you can set up a do-it-yourself bathing station, or you could hire groomers.  have your puppy salon in a seperate room so that the tufts of dog hair don't form tumble weeds that blow across your floor.  It would also help if the dogs being groomed couldn't see the dogs playing, as it is difficult to groom a wiggly dog.

I would also have someone who is a pet nutritionalist on staff and sell premium pet foods, as they are a huge profit item and growing in popularity.  Pet food vendors may also send a rep out for free to talk to people about pet food and pass out samples.
