Ok basicly I'm a 16 year old American girl, going to be a senior next year so I need to start looking at colleges.

I would absolutely love to live in Canada for my college years, so I need your help!

Is waterloo a good college? I was thinking that or University of Toronto. If I go to UofT I would be in the Mississauga because that's where my program is.

So here's the question. I heard UofT Mississauga is boring. Is that true? It has a better reputation than Waterloo but I heard Waterloo is more fun.

Your thoughts...?

Thanks Canadians :) Luv uu!

  1. Well.. In Canada  you don't get out of highschool untill your 18.. so are you talking about going to be a senior at a Highschool ? or a senior and a Collage... cos i dont think that any Collages around here in Canada will accept you if you're only 16.. But im not sure, have to check it out!?

  2. hello =]

Okay well I havnt heard of waterloo , but I live in Victoria

which is in british columbia, and it is absolutely beautiful!

and its not cold , this summer it has gotten up o 30 C

I dont know if you know celcius but whatever haha .

UVIC, is a great colledge here, one of the best in canada!

just thought you would like to know =]

  3. you should stay in the U S and do you college work there

it will probably cost u less money

depending on where you are from

curious to know what program you would be in @ U of T that would relegate you to Missisauga

  4. Canada is a great place to go to college. The tuition and fees are 1/2 the price of comparable universities in the states. Mississauga is not a very nice town (sorry folks) so Waterloo would be a better choice. However, you might want to check out Bishop's University (don't let the name fool you, it's not affiliated with any religion). This is a small, primarily undergraduate liberal arts institution set in a beautiful semi-rural area only 1 1/2 hours from Montreal, which is a fantastic cosmopolitan city with a European air (a special bus takes students to Montreal, if they so desire, for the weekend). The student/faculty ratio is 10:1, which means small classes and professors who actually know your name!. Although Bishop's is situated in a primarily English area, you will have ample opportunities to learn French while you are here. And finally, Bishop's has the reputation of being a party school, but one that takes studying seriously. Do take a moment and check it out.
