Seriously people... If you really have the love to ride, who cares if you ride a Harley, Yamaha, Ducati, Honda or a Vespa!

We are an elite group. I welcome company when I ride. Model or year or size is not an issue.. Loud bike...get on lets go! Old bike... I've got tools, Fast bike.... I'll see you at the next stop.

Who cares.. Just don't drink, and don't be an idiot. Those are my only two reqirements.. Lets ride people!!

  1. Your exactly right Momma! But your plea will fall on deaf ears. They just don't understand that it's different strokes for different folks. We don't all want to go a 180 mph.I have a 1956 Panhead i've owned for 32 years.Had lots of other bikes too. They come and go.Now i'll be the first to admit that my Pan is ancient technology. It vibrates, leaks blood once in a while, rides rough, needs regular TLC,etc..but i love that old bike and you could park any new bike in my driveway and i wouldn't do a trade with you.It has heart and soul and personality that a lot of bikers will never get to experience. They think that high technology and blazing speed is all that matters. And that's fine.BUT it is their loss to not to to feel what it is like to ride a bike that defines what a classic motorcycle is all about.Just my opinion. And like you i will ride with anyone.

Oh and one more thing i see lots of posts here about how harleys are ok it's the riders that have the bad attitudes. Why is it then that i see posts for j*p bike riders and Harley guys will answer trying to help.I know i do if i think i can.But let a Harley guy or gal ask for help and they hear c**p like oil leak, won't charge.making a noise?Serves youy right for buying out-dated c**p or sell it and get a real bike,etc..What is your guys answer to that? The only one of you i have seen try to help someone is Magley.I'm sure there are others of you that try too so i appologize to you.The rest of you better look at your own attitude sometime!

Low status NBT? KMA What makes you so superior?Your the lowlife.

  2. i hear ya Momma

  3. h**l yeah! I own a 1977 shovel head chopper (i built) a 1994 yamaha FZR, a 2004 kawasaki KDX and i just bought a 2008 Buell. And it really pisses me off when on the rice burner the harleys don't wave and when on the harley the rice burners won't wave.....get over it if you really love to ride you would love to ride everything.........i love to ride so i buy and ride everthing!!!!

  4. "its not the bike im hating on its the rider"

    Like you know me.

    And,

    As if I care.

  5. You hit the nail on the head. It dosen't matter what you ride as long as it has two wheels and gets you where you want to go. I have been riding for years and have rode just about everything made.

      ride free and ride safe

  6. People who ride are a step above - brand doesn't matter.

I don't care if you're a twenty year old kid on a sport bike, an 80 year old man on a Gold Wing, an outlaw on an old Harley, a preppy middle aged guy on a modern Harley, a wrench monkey on a chopper, a gal with a faster bike than her boyfriend's, or any other combination of person and two wheeled motorized vehicle - you stick together.

We watch out for each other in traffic.  We flash our lights or give a friendly wave.  We share our spark plugs.  We stop if we see a down rider.  And we just have that mutual respect.  And to go along with all that, we burn less gas than big SUVs that usually carry the same number of people.

    I'm with you!!!

  7. Momma G

Todays Harley is an inferior machine.

The dealers will even tell you that.

There are riders, and it dont matter what yer on.

and there are accidients waiting to happen.

You know the speed bikers in tank tops and sneakers.

I ride with Harley riders, I give them a lot of c**p.

I wont ride with road rash ready to happen

  8. its not the bike im hating on its the rider

  9. Elite?  Anyone can and does ride a motorcycle.  Including a majority of posers and brainless ninnies who seem to gravitate to a Harley....and then put straight pipes on it.

The biggest reason there are harley bashes are the harley fan boys who feel the need proclaim that their antique 2008 bike is the best and everything else is trash.  That's when the harley truth tellers have to come out and set the record straight.  Harley guys more than anyone else should know that people who live in overpriced antique no horsepower glass houses, shouldn't throw stones.

But when Harley itself trades in BS instead of attempting to build a bike that has modern day performance who can blame their  kool aid drinkers in loudly parroting that BS.

I'm cool with someone who just loves their bike, more power to you.  But if you bought your two wheeled tractor to impress people....you are going to be disappointed when you come across someone who has actually ridden a few bikes.  I'm not impressed that you spent premium bucks for a bike that is nothing but a status symbol to people of low status.

  10. thumbs up sister!

  11. Sounds like a cheerleader with too much time on her hands.  You can't be an "elite group" and welcome all comers.

  12. amen to that

  13. I'm not gonna get mad Mike, I understand. P.S. my HD doesn't have throttle cables.

  14. Such childish blather.

I just ride; I wave to all.  That's it, kiddies.

  15. Very well said.  Ride on!

  16. I think it is time a bunch of our 'Answers' folks grow up, and quit acting like egotisicial teen agers.  You guys who bash Harleys, and who call metrics 'j*p-c**p' are only showing your own lack of intelligence, common sense, and judgement.  There is enough road for us all, this is a free country, we are allowed to live where we please, as long as we can afford it, work where we please, as long as we can get the job, drive the car we please, on and on.  So, what give you the right to knock another guys ride?  NOTHING!!!!!!  You have every right to be proud of your ride,  You have NO right to judge another persons ride.

All bikes are like people, the perfect man has not been created, as yet, and nothing in the works appears ready to change that.  The same for bikes, no matter how proud a person is of his bike, it is not perfect.  And that is not likely to change in our life time. All brands are much better than they were a few years back, some have made tremendous progress.  Do not judge a bike for what it used to be.

Performance is not a factor to judge by, how it performs, compared to what it was designed for is the deciding factor as to a bikes worth.  Many bikes can reach top speeds 3 times the legal limits without trouble.  That is fine,  If you are caught, do not cry.  Remember, you are responsible for your life, and for the life of anyone you may come in contact with, in any way, while riding.  If you accept this, and care to run your bike flat out, on an open, clear road, so be it.  If the unforseen happens, and someone gets in your way, it is YOUR responsibility to avoid him at any cost to you.  If you are not man enough to accept this, ride the speed limit.  If you ride a Harley, of Goldwing, or other bike of this type, you are not overly prone to far exceed the speed limits, but this does not give you rights to judge the ones of us who do.  Nor do we have the right to condem your bike for not being "Fast". or able to handle a good old crooked road at a very high rate of speed.  I know many do not put much faith in the Bible, but it does tell us a lot about life, and how to peacefully co-exist with others.  Two of the best examples are "Judge not, that ye be not judged", and "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you",  These are good rules for life, whether you believe in God or not.

    Tomcotexas.

  17. Im going to open another can of worms and say that if you like Harley Davidson then you also like Coldplay, RollerDisco, 80's glam/pop, and the film Brokeback Mountain.

Hey does Harley have YCCT? Oh that's right, they still use throttle cables.

    What about secondary fuel injectors?

    They weigh HOW MUCH?

Japanese sportbikes are POS's? please Harley needs another extreme makeover.

    6/21/08 UPDATE

YES I GOT 14 THUMBS DOWN MY MISSION IS COMPLETE

hey i would ride with you to but you won't keep up unless you have knee pucks on ;). I'm obviously talking about the track, I don't ride aggressively on the street.

  18. Smart words of wisdom from a  real biker.

  19. I don't care what you ride. I'll wave to you, stop to help you or buy you a beer whether I'm on my Buell, Yamaha 650 Seca Harley Fat Boy or Suzuki V-Strom. If you are on 2 wheels you're a friend of mine.
