G’day, I want to learn more about your country . . . .!

Out of your little ‘corner of the world’ what are the 5 BEST things about living there?

Also name 3 things you don’t like about it, or would want to change.

Thanks Mate

    - italian football (or soccer for usa citizens)

    bad things:

    - the cospiracy of silence and the cowards that keep mafia, camorra et alia alive...

    - the jobbery of our politicians

  2. I have lived in italy for the last three years . . .  And it is VERY difficult to choose only 5 things that I like best . . .

    1. Wonderful wondeful wine

    2. That you can live right next to history (ex. ruins, coliseum etc)

    3. Very safe - I am a 21 year old female, and I can walk around the Rome alone in the middle of the night and feel perfectly safe.

    4. There's a little bit of everything for everyone! - Shopping, sightseeing, wine, food,e tc.

    5. Hands down the best food you will ever eat.

    The three bad things . . .

    1. Cobble stone streets are h**l on high heels!!

    2. Crazy crazy traffic

    3. Some Italians (especially in larger cities) can be quite rude.

    Hope this helps!!

  3. best things:

    food

    language

    historical and artistic places everywhere

    friendly people

strong differences among regions, cities and little towns

    3 things i don't like:

    politicians

criminals don't get punished as they should

    hard to find a job

  4. Best thing..art, architecture, history, food, music, culture, elegance...

worst thing...unfortunately, we have to modernise our airports

  5. Hi! I'm Italian and I have 14 years old. Do you want 5 reason to live in Italy?

    - the delicious disches

    - the beaurtiful sea

    - the storic places

    - the mode

    - the famous italian people (the might be the most kind, but i don't think this ... XD)

    - rubbish in Naples

    - italian music

    - bad politics

    ok, bye!

  6. I'm not Italian but I live in Italy.

    What I like:

The food.  Every region and city has it's own culinary specialties.

The art.  You would be amazed at how every city and town has so much amazing art.  Even the smallest towns have something.

The friendliness and good-humor of the people.  Italians are great at making fun of themselves and bad situations.  They always find something to laugh about even in terrible situations.

The sea-side, the mountains, the hills, etc.

    The dialects and accents.

    What I don't like:

    I don't like the bureaucracy.

I don't like the uncleanliness and graffiti in many cities.

I don't like the fact that some Italians only think about themselves, and don't care about others.  They find ways of fooling the "system" in order to gain benefits but in the end, end up hurting the honest people.

  7. Best things:

    - The great wine

    - The wonderful food

    - The "caffè expresso"

    - The street market on Sunday in a small city

    - The landscape and history

    Worst things:

    - bureaucracy

    - taxes

    - "i furbacchioni" (I don't know the translation in english, something like slyboots, dodger, slicker, wangler) Lots of italians try always to take advantage of every situation.

  8. 5 BEST:

1- History and arts... Where can you find places like Rome Venice Florence....

2- Nature... Beautiful seasides (specially in southern Italy) beautiful mountains...

3- Eating... From north to south you can taste many different kind of lovely food...

    4- Drinking... Very good wine...

    5- People...

    What i don't like is...our politics...

  9. hi, i was born in Italy 21 years ago, and i still live here.

what I like about my country is:

    - the weather, Today it's a sunny warm day, even if we are in January

    - the landscape from my house, I see the Alps

    - the food , I traveled to Spain, France, South America, Netherlands....but I've never found something as tasty as pasta, lasagne, ice-cream, espresso coffee, panettone...

    - the people, i know sometimes we are a little bit narrow-minded, but actually we are funny and always smiling!

    - tradition, art and culture: in Italy you can find art everywhere, the church of my little town was built in 1100...what can I say more?

    what i dislike is:

-public transport : the best way to travel is by car, railway and buses should be improved to protect the environment

    - the government : the leaders of the country are old people (from 60 to 80 years old) that have no idea of what Italy really need.

    - the school : I'm at the university now, but i think that Italy should put more resources in primary school, because children nowadays almost can't read, they start studying English when they are not able to write in Italian, they just can write nonsense SMS

  10. 1 - Weather

    2 - Food

    3 - Smiles

    4 - Music

    5 - Fashion

1 - People don't care about the environment

2 - Things work just  'on paper'

3 - Too hot in the summer
