Calling all Lifeguards!!! have you ever...?

Question

have any of you lifeguards jumped into the water and pretended to save someone just because it was really hot out and wanted to go in the water?

No I would never do that because that would mean that I would be taking my eyes off of the pool, and then someone else could potentially drown if I'm not doing my job. If there is somebody else in trouble I know what to do so that my area would be covered, but isn't it pretty obvious if I "pretend" to rescue someone?

Not if someone was totally fine but if they were struggling a little bit (but usually would make it fine still)...I would opt to go in after them.

im not a life guard but at the communtity pool i go too there are lifeguards when switcing duties will go down the water slides, swim there, or get water and dump it on them. I dont kno if its allowed where you work but thats just where i go!!!

Nah if we want to go in the water were allowed to go in for a little bit as long as we never lose good site of pool patrons.

no, i would jump in during a rotation if i wanted to cool off.
