This is not a new 'Yanks go home' campaign. It just that  it's very annoying to have to read Americans replying to specfically English questions with replies like "I don't understand this question" or "what's Freeview", "what's a Scart" or other location specific replies.

I disagree that you should restrict your questions and answers to a specific location, when many questions are not region specific, and in fact many questions are asking from one location to another how to accomplish something aside from the askers home country.

I do believe however that if you do not know an answer, you should not answer the question, and non-answers such as "i don't know" should be reported as it is against the rules, and will keep the clutter of Y! answers to a minimum.

The more people your question reaches the better chances you have of getting a real answer, if your question is just for one region or country it should be stated in the question so you get answers related to your question.

You can not change the behaviors of others, or how they use the service, so change the way that you interact with the site to get the most out of it for yourself, there are many knowledgeable people who take there time out to answer questions here, but there are also those who answer IDK or with links to spam either to get there points up, or for whatever other reasons... If someone violates any of the Y! rules just hit the report button... we have the power to keep this service running the way we see fit...

yes yes yes.  I am getting really sick of 'this is a USA site...' ' how would we know we live in American' and such like guff.  

Finally, lets get rid of all the narrow minded red-necks and get some answers from real people.
