Calling all Single dad's out there! Divorced, dealing with Child Custody?

I have been divorced now for over two years, my ex says she doesn't hold any grudges and from day one of the custody hearing when my son wasn't even 1 yet I asked for 7 day rotations! Its going on three years of this bs and I even gave into my ex wife who wanted to tutor after work (we're both teachers) 2 days a week so to accommodate her I took Tuesday nights to Thursdays night those were my two week days, she wanted Sunday night thru Tuesday night! And of course we had alternating weekends. I am still asking for 7 days she insists that 7 is to long! Now she says she's going to petition the court to make our agreement germinate. Well the current order is for 48 hour rotations every two days and alternating weekends! 2-2-3 that's the court mandate! We agreed to 5-5-2-2 three days connected to our weekends make it 5 days, then her Mon-Tues And me Wed-Thurs!

My Question is any of you experience this nonsense and if so what did you do? If not looking at my situation what would you do?

I almost want to give up, I want to kill myself or move away, then she can explain what happened to my son and let him decide what he thinks! This is so freaking ridiculous!

  1. I never have gone through this in any form. So my question would be me guessing on what is the right thing to do. My suggestion would be not to kill yourself, secondly would it be possible to go 7 days you have him, 7 days she has him? I also think it's is not how much time you spend with him but what you do with him when you have him. Maybe you will spend more time at the park, or play a little later knowing that you don't have as much time as you did. Good luck and it is always good to hear about great fathers.

  3. I'm puzzled :|

  4. I know you said guys, but this is the most ridiculous stuff I have ever heard. Get an attorney and take it back to court. My husband and I are going through ridiculous things too.
