Calling all bird experts...What is this bird?

I live in central Louisiana, this is the first time in 25 years I have ever heard this bird. I have a small amount of woods and a shallow canal behind my home and for about two weeks I heard this bird but could never get a look at it. Mostly in the evenings. I recently visited my Mother in north eastern Kentucky. We both heard the same bird there but it stayed in the deep in the woods so we both could not see it. The only thing I have to go buy is this recording I made using my digital camera. It is pointed toward the woods behind my house. Please listen to the bird sound , it pauses and then make another sound. If you recognize it please feel free to post your answer and I'll do some research to confirm it. I will post my findings. Thank you so much for any help you can give.
