  1. everyone thinks different on this subject, you need to find the best for your dog. I personally look for something with meat as the first ingredient. BUT  what works for my dogs may not work for yours.

  2. depends what country you are in

    Canada - NUTRAM

    USA - Innova, Wellness..

    Better food = less p**p

you WILL  NOT find good food at grocery or Wal Mart.

Vets will advice you to buy what ever they sell -some times that food is crappy too (eg Science Diet is c**p)

this link will help you to learn what ingredients are good

    what are bad

    and why...

the best place to buy pet food is from an independant petsupply store or livestock feed store..

Anything with 4 or more stars is a good bet.  Anything from a grocery store/vet office is NOT.

  4. whatever you change the puppy to do it gradually over a couple of weeks to prevent stomach aches.

I use Royal Canin for my dogs and cat I think it is the best out there. There is also Pro Plan, Eagle Pack, Nutrience, Hills or Advance but I'm in Australia - I know you can get Royal Canin in US.

  5. You're worrying too much. :-)

IAMS is a very good quality food and they use top quality ingredients...There are people that will tell you that foods costing 3 times the price are better, but better by 10% isn't always worth 3 times the price, ya know ?

I've been a breeder for many years and have raised many extremely healthy puppies on IAMS and wouldn't switch if you paid me..

As far as pooping too much ?

Let me ask you this..Do you leave her food out 24/7 ?

    Let's put it like this...If  she eats 3 times a day, she'll p**p 3 times a day...If she eats 4 times a day, she'll p**p 4 times a day...Get the picture ?

If you leave her food out for her all day long instead of putting the bowl down 3 times a day and letting her get her fill 3 times a day...She'll poo all day long...

My personal advice to you would be to keep her on the food you're currently feeding, feed her 3 times a day, and not worry so much...You're a good mom but you don't need to worry so much.. :-)

  6. science diet for puppies. after she is an adult i would move to the small bites for small breeds, also science diet.

it is the most vet recommended food out there.

i will admit that it costs a little more, but because of the balanced diet it offers your dog won't eat as much...so in the end you really spend less.

  7. Hello ^_^

I think you should wait until shes older, because it might be hard for a puppy that age to adapt to new food so quickly, and might make her sick, and try not to feed her too much, because the more she poops she just keeps getting hungrier and hungrier, but just to make sure you should go to a vet and ask for a professional, because it might be the food that is making her p**p more than normal, and she needs the vitamins, but she isnt really getting all that she needs because of her digestive system being like that, so I think you should contact a veterinarian. ^_^

HOPE I HELPED ^_^ hope ur CUTESY WOOTSY FEELS BETTER ! ^_^

  8. my favorite dog food (for my dog of course) is solid gold, it is all natural made in the USA, was not on the recall list, it has no fillers, no corn, no by-products, no salt, no sugar, no added animal fat only has the natural fat, no wheat, no soy, this is an all around healthy holistic dog food that leaves your pets coat shiney and heatlhy as well as maintaining the dogs health, Solid Gold is great for pets with allergies, and has all the nutrients that a dog needs, i know the food is some what expensive, but it is deff. worth it, Solid Gold is more expensive because it is healthy, and they use only the best ingredients, the reason why lets say pedigree is cheaper is because they use fillers, like corn which has no nutrutional value to your dog what so ever, so cheaper ingredients = lower nutrional value.

and because solid gold has all the nutrients your pet needs, your dog will actually eat less because he gets fuller faster.

I swear by this dog food, and I know many people who do also, you should really consider trying it, you will not be disappointed, but just make sure when you switch your dog to any different brand that you gradually add in the new food to the old food, by giving them a new food straight could cause severe medical problems. I feed my husky solid gold, once he was off of iams i noticed a lot of differences, he stopped pooping in the house, and didn't have to go as much, his coat got shinnier, and stopped itching, etc

for your puppy I would recommed the puppy hundenflocken, when he is older you could put him on the wee bit formula or keep him on the same formula just put him on the adult maintence. It won't hurt her at all to switch foods, this food is so much more healthy and better, its a change for the good.
