Question:

Calling all cabin crew!!!?

I am a 28 year old singer who wants a career change. I always said if I wasn't a wedding singer I'd want to be a flight attendant and this is what I plan to do.

If there are any cabin crew logged on could you tell me if you're happy in your job? Who do you work for? What are the pitfalls (jetlag obviously)!

Just anything you think would be helpful for someone wanting to start a career in this area.

Thank you.

  1. I'm not a cabin crew. But I would follow my hart. Do what it says causes your hart wont lie. But your mind will. So, just do what you fell is right...Like I am answering your question. God speed too you.

  2. if you want to be, be a pilot, they earn crazy money. cabin crew earn little and this job dont suit everybody plus they dont have a high pay too

  3. have you ever considered being a pilot?  Lot more money, same travel.

  4. Some of this information is a little out dated but it will give you a start. Take a look at this site:

    http://www.cabincrewjobs.com/index.html

  5. Run away, run away fast.  Do not consider for a minute that this is a good career change.

    The industry hates its employees.

Flight attendants are never home. They work for hours breathing dirty air and are surrounded by angry, whining, sneezing people.  Its a dead end job and you miss most birthdays, holidays and important family gettogethers.

The pay is below average for many years and their is absolutely no glamor.

    Run away, now.
