Calling all computer geeks! I have a question?

Question

I have a McAffee security system on my computer. For some reason, it is not connecting to the internet. It comes up with an error message and says that the signature file is between 8 and 29 days old. The other message presented is: one or more problems cannot be fixed because of an error. When I follow instructions to fix it, I can see that it is not connecting with the internet. Any suggestions??
