  1. Make friendship bracelets with embroidery floss.

Use fun, bright colors and also make neutral for the boys. I make them for people at my school (i am an eighth grader) and everybody really loves em, including the boys!!

  2. Try making lanyards. they are fun and you can make a key chain or bracelets for girls. There is a lot of patterns to choose from. Busy hands stay out of trouble. Have fun!

  3. HOW ABOUT POTATO BEADS.

I JUST FOUND THIS SITE AND MADE FAUX JADE BRACELETS.

JUST TYPE IN HOWTO MAKE POTATO BEADS AND IT WILL GIVE YOU SOME SITES TO GO TO.

  4. You can turn an adult t-shirt into a pillowcase.  It doesn't have to be a new shirt, either.  An old favorite will be great.  Carefully sew shut the neck and sleeves.  Leave the bottom open to put the pillow in.  Some people like to sew the sleeves shut and leave them showing, while others like to tuck the sleeves in and then sew the opening shut.

Of course, just decorating a t-shirt to wear would be a great craft.  The Michaels store near me has t-shirts on sale for $2.50 this week.  It may well be a chain-wide sale. Check www.michaels.com for a store locater button.

Most crafts supplies stores have ready-to-finish wood pieces.  You can get little treasure chests and other cool stuff for a buck or two.  You get to sand and paint them.  Is that "craft" enough for your teacher?

  5. Artist Trading Cards. They're 2.5" X 3.5" (the same size as a baseball card. You make them any way you wan to (paint, draw, stamp, collage...), and then trade them.  I have cards from all over the US, the UK, Australia and France.

  6. 1) How bout hand painted pet rocks? Each rock has a different personality (spirit or anime) if you study it closely, you will see it. Trace the outline and color it in with paint. Give each one a name you feel suits the personality of each one and a  little card that has whimsical facts or whatever you like about them.  Some are just heads while others, depending on the size and shape... well you know what I mean.

    2) Sandman's dreams... Shell paintings, if you look on the inside of some of those shells you will see the outlines of extraordinary little creatures and whole intricate scenes even just waiting for someone to give them anime. And if you don't see theirs, you can up your own.

    3) Masks made from plastic milk or oil containers are fun but alot more work but if interested I could send instructions under separate cover as it is rather lengthy for here.

Paper dolls or jumping jacks and book marks could be funny too using your classmates faces super imposed onto pics of different costume, cut em out and laminate them and you can punch a hole in their head to add a ribbon haha.
