Calling all people in Chicago, what do you think of the new Harry Caray's in Wrigleyville?

I have seen metromix's reviewers' reviews of Harry Caray's Tavern that is now next to Wrigley Field, and I haven't been there, and I would say that the reviews are just about mixed. It seems to me that some people like it better the others do, I see some good reviews of it, and some not so good, and even a couple of 3 stars, you can check the reviews at http://chicago.metromix.com/bars-and-clubs/sports_bar/harry-carays-tavern-wrigleyville/reader-review/289835/view . So now I am asking you, if you had been there, what do you think of it. Do you think that it is worth a ride/drive to Wrigleyville to go to it. And plus I seen in addition to thier regular food that they serve up, I see that they are also making pizza. If you had thier pizza there, what do you think about it? And even comparing it to restuarants like Connie's, Home Run Inn, Lousia's, and Lou Malnati's, that are more known for making pizza, how do compare it to those places?

  1. Its HighTops and all they did is change the name! LAME!!!

  2. The new Harry Carey's in both Wrigleyville and the other new location by Yorktown Mall are both fantastic. If you want very good deep dish pizza try Pizzeria Uno or Due. They are known for their famous deep dishs. Connies or Home Run Inn Pizza you can get anywhere even in your freezer section. I would go for Harry Careys or Pizzeria Uno/Duo.

  3. It is not top shelf pizza.  Go for the name and location.  not the food.

  4. Overrated.  Not that good of food, and high priced

  5. It's not the same as the original, and the pizza is just ok.  It's not a place you would pick for the pizza, it's overpriced for what you actually get.

I only went because of the area it was in.  If it wasn't in that location, I doubt it would survive long.

I mean don't get me wrong, it's not horrible, it's just an average place.

  6. I personally think Harry Caray's is too high priced. I would rather get pizza at Giordanos.

  7. its nice, but not as good as the origional. but i wouldn't go if i didn't have to... too many other places in the city that are way better for a price like that.

  8. I went to their River North location. Never have I been so disappointed in the food, service, and what you get for the money. I ordered a sandwich, and that's all I got. A sandwich. Everything else came ala carte. Plus I think it was something like $8.00 for that thing. Never again will I go there.
