I'm 37 years old. How long will it take for me to be able to synchronize both hands on the keyboard? I'm trying to play the full version of chopsticks, not just the right handed version. I can play Gymnopedie, only because it's a slow song.

Thanks in advance

  1. well it depends how good you are and how interested you are in piano for example im only 12 and and i can easily play with both hands but in generall if youv just started it takes a few years  to find it comfortable

  2. It varies. It is pretty easy to start, but its just dedication to practicing. It took me a month, but others can be faster

  3. its natural very hard to play both hands at the same time. try finding a high-level song, playing it with your right hand only, and master that. then play the exact same song with your left hand, but playing right-handed notes. this practice helped me out. now i can play "Rachmaninoff Etude Op. 39 No. 6", the hardest song ever if played the hardest version.

  4. I've only been playing for about 5 months now, and I can already play sound of silence two-handed. It depends on how much you practice and concentrate on it. If you are dedicated enough, you should pick it up in no time.

a helpful tip: when I practice, I play through one hand at a time, and then play hands together, so slow I can't mess up. and if I do, I go back and start over so I don't learn something wrong.
