Question:

Calling cards - I got some questions?

I bought myself a "Black international calling card" because I would like to call someone on a mobile in Germany (from UK). Bare with me, I never used those in the UK. Now, I am not using my own landline phone but someone elses, so I was wondering about the connection costs? There is a 0800 Dial access number, which is as I believe a free-call number, and also there is a Mobile access number starting with 0207, for London I believe. How much would I be charged for calling that London number (which I obviously would have to use to call mobiles?)?

Thanks for helping!

  1. You can visit this site it has lots of great information

  2. If it is an 0800 number and you are calling from a BT line, then you shouldnt be charged. Maybe check with the line provider first.

  3. how it works is a pro rata system

    for example

if you get 100 minutes for dialing an 0845 access number

you will get 80 for dialiing an 0207/8 number

or if you dial the 0800 you will get 60

but if you have pleanty of minutes on a contract phone, then dial the 0207/8 number as you get a happy medium, and you don't get charged..
