Would it be considered long-distance calling if I called someone in the UK from my landline phone? I have Verizon Freedom package which has local and long-distance with unlimited calling to both.

  1. Uk is overseas so they will charge you. Im not sure how much you paying for the phone service. You better try voip service that will save you more than $300 yearly. Im paying $8.95/month for unlimited calling usa, canada and few other country check this out its cool site http://www.phone.helptopost.com

  2. over seas would be international, and charged at a different rate then long distance, it would not be included in your unlimited long distance plan, contact your carrier and ask what there rates for calling your destination country is, and specify if you know if it is a mobile line or not, as some international calls going to mobile phones are charged at a higher rate
