Calling cops?

help me out...please tell me if it is illeagal to spank a 15 year old girl in front of her friends and then insult her like anything?

can i call the cops for this?

wow that sounds humiliating... if you ask me, i think that when parents spank a 15 year old they are either acting like idiots or taking advantage of how grown you are. my dad tries to spank me, but what i did last time was grab the belt out of his hand and then he tried to smack me, but i barely felt it. spanking to me is just meaningless hitting from one parent to another child just because they want to take their anger out that way and don't really care about the lesson that they are not teaching you. in other words, its a type of abusive revenge. sadly, its not illegal to spank a 15 year old unless they hit you in the face or neck with a belt or i also think hitting          your private parts too. she can't do anything but tell her parents that she is too mature for a spanking and that its also not appropriote in front of her friends.

Who's doing this? By the way, I think it is illegal, as both these would be considered as assault. It could also be considered a civil order offence, so it might be an idea to call the police, eve if they can only warn the person who is doing this that it is wrong.

I told my daughter that if she ever wanted to call the cops on my for smacking her on the A** then feel free.  but by the time the cops got there she was going to walk away with a limp..

depends on what state you are in.. I think there is no spanking law in CA but I dont know about other states./  

I you really think it is a problem then I would call social services.

You did blunder -- you deserve.  Spanking on the butt is not illegal.  It becomes illegal when you spanked all over the place on your body with hands or any other form - like a belt.  Remember, you lose you actually learn.  Learn from what you did wrong - and most importantly apologize and admit you did wrong and do your best not to do it again.  Being a teenager is very tough these days and sometimes I am glad I passed those days cause I don't think I would want to be one in today's time.

If he did it for no reason then it is bad but if it is the only time he randomly did it then i wouldn't do anything yet.

In most states, if not all, it is perfectly legal to spank a child up until their 18th birthday. Period.

The cops won't do anything anyways, unless there is proof that there is abuse. And I highly doubt your dad is leaving bruises on you. :)

when i was 17, my parents could hit me in probably any way and the cops only told me [after my parents called them...]

I don't see the point of spanking a 15yr old girl... I think there is other punishments that should start being input in this age.

And as far as I'm aware where I live (Australia) your allowed to spank on the bottom only police have said.

Personally I don't believe in spanking/hitting etc at such an old age but there is other forms of punishment, although I say this from quite an abusive family..
