Calling from turkey to the US

well im going to turkey for a year and a half and i was wondering while im there is there a cell phone company that will let me call/text to the US anytime, i dont want to pay over over $70

The most popular mobile phone network in Turkey is Turkcell. You can phone or text at any time and they do various deals to reduce the price. For example you can join "gencturkcell" which literally means "young/youth Turkcell" but age doesn't seem to be an issue and it is automatically cheaper. Also, if you buy credit rather than having a bill, for every 250 units you buy, they credit you with 50 extra free.

You could also consider Skype or equivalent for international calls but you'll need a local mobile phone anyway.
