Calling in Sick for Work...then going out later!

Question

I was wondering...what are the rules if you call in sick for work, but after a few hours you feel alot better...do you go to work for a few hours, or is it ok to go out with friends. This question is in perspective of the employer. Can the employer get mad at an employee for doing this?

i wouldn't think so. i would think it would depend on the boss. i get x amt. of sick days ea. year. however i choose to use them is up to me.

If the employee wants to use their allotted sick days like this, then that's up to them.  In my opinion, it's a waste.  I would rather save my sick day for days when I'm actually sick and really don't want to go to work.

If I called in sick then I am sick, if I feel better later I would either go to work or just stay home. Going out later is not an option.

Did you use to stay home from school because you didn't feel good but later on felt better and went out to play?  Just asking.
