Calling up employer for work experience?

Im in year 10 and i have just received information on where i am working for work experience. I have to call up the employer before friday and i need tips on what to say, what questions to ask, because i am nervous and shy and i don't have any ideas for what to say.

Call up and say

"Hi my name is ______ ______ and I have been assigned to do work experience at ________ could i please speak to _________ __________"

Afterwards ask what time you need to arrive each day, when you start, what you will need to bring and what attire is appropriate. Anything else you are not sure of ask in advance.

In terms of tips speak clearly and confidently and most importantly be polite and friendly.
