I have 3 silver dollars, 3 black skirt tetras, 2 blood parrot cichlids, and a pleco. I want to add some colorful fish with personality, because all the fish I have now have no personality at all.

What do you reccomend?

  1. more silver dollar and black skirt

  2. your tetras must be fast lol. The silver dollars and Cichlids are both aggressive fish and because you have the parrot Cichlids you would most likely want to cntinue and get more aggressive fish. Aggressive fish usually don't school though. Try getting one or two African Cichlids, they don't school, but they are colorful and completely full of personality. Just remember to re-arrange your tank when you add them. Good luck.

  3. The 2 blood parrot cichlid fish are crazy they are to aggressive. You should only put cichlids in a tank with each other!!! I would just get more cichlid fish because they are going to eat the other fish any ways!!! I have a 85 gallon cichlid tank in my basement  with a bunch of cihlids.

Cichlid fish are amazing fish they grow huge and change colors allot they even remeber there owner i love cichlids <3

  4. The reason the Tetras are schooling with the Silver Dollars is stress-- without a proper school of their own, they jump into others, which won't be received well as the Silver Dollars grow.  Along with more Black Skirts, you could try a large group of Harlequin Rasboras or a species of Barb.  Really, schooling fish aren't very personable-- if you want personality, I'd get rid of the Blood Parrots and try something like a Blue Acara or some Firemouths.
