I found on google it was only about 80, which isn't much, I was soo tired by the end of it, and on my cycling machine at home, t can burn 300 cals and not be as tired as I was cycling 2 miles outside.

Some little parts where up hill too. 80 really does seam not much, but hmm, maybe it is right.

  1. Hi there,

I often wondered how many doing nothing would burn!

I found this calculator which works out how much you burn doing all sorts of exercises:

Its very useful, i bookmarked it so I can reference.

    Hope this helps.

  2. the calories you burn are based on your heart-rate, not the miles you travel. I do the same 25 mile loop regularly. there are days I burn more than others. get a heart-rate monitor, and get your rate up for 30-45 minutes..

  3. 2 miles outside would burn approx 80 cals for a 70kg person. Cycling indoors is an inaccurate way to measure your output as those machines can be up to 50% wrong. I cycle 22 miles every day which burns just over 800 cals and takes 2 hours.

  4. 80 ? I doubt that. Maybe 8. You can't even get warmed up at two miles. Unless it was all up hill.
