Question:

Calories in fountain Diet Coke?

Does anyone know accurately (with a source if possible so I can have a closer look) whether or not Diet Coke from fountain dispensers (at Subways and movie theatres etc.) contain more calories than the bottled or canned versions?

I know that fountain Diet Coke contains not only aspartme (which is present in the bottled ones), but also saccharin, to help to maintain its 'shelf life' (or rather, 'fountain life').

I'm sure that this extra component of carbohydrates etc. would therefore contribute some extra calories. But how many?

Thanks.

  1. It doesn't contribute any additional calories. Like aspartame, Saccharin is an artificial sweetener that does not add to the calorie content.
