  1. You know what, In this day and age, he is the man.

  2. absolutely not

  3. No chance in h**l he is the best pound for pound. You cant just win a fight to become best p4p you have to look good winning as well , calzaghe didnt look impressive at all last night. He won because he threw more punches its as simple as that. He would need at least 2 more big names to even be considered the #1 p4p fighter and have to look good in there. I think plenty of people could match him , for example mayweather is superior in almost every possible way to calzaghe, so is Hopkins but he just doesnt have the energy or stamina anymore at this stage in his carear to keep up with Calzaghes workrate.

  4. The top 10 as it stands:

    1  Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    2  Manny Pacquiao

    3  Juan Manuel Márquez

    4  Joe Calzaghe

    5  Bernard Hopkins

    6  Israel Vázquez

    7  Miguel Ángel Cotto

    8  Ricky Hatton

    9  Kelly Pavlik

    10  Rafael Márquez

To be honest, i think its time Mayweather should look for real challlengers at HIS weight. He has been ducking Miguel Cotto for ages. Cotto has beaten Shane Mosley and now Gomez. Cotto is up the fight, Mayweather isnt. Both unbeaten, but Floyd doesent want to step up to the challenge. To answer your question, Calzaghe should move up to 3rd while Marquez goes to fourth. Manny should take over Floyd's reign as king since he is a real champion in his division, and if Cotto does fight Mayweather and wins, Cotto will move up and become pound for pound.

I dont think Calzaghe is THE greatest at the moment, but he definitly is one of them. Go Calzaghe!

  5. he is very good but ...

    pound for pound ...

money-may and pacman is still 1 and 2

  6. 1. Pac-man

    2. Pavlik

    3. Calzaghe

    4. mayweather ( I don't capitalize names that won't stand up and fight like men).

  7. If he took on either Pavlik or Taylor and won then I might agree with that statement. But he is certainly a great fighter if for nothing more than his amazing stamina and determination.

  8. He just got a split decision over a 43 year old BHop... I would reckon that Pavlik would destroy this guy.

As for PFP not in the top 5.

  9. wow

    no.

i didnt see much flair last night...i think some people are making calzaghe out to be much greater than he really is. make him fight pavlik, or mayweather, and come back and try and throw up the "best pound for pound" BS

  10. I like it
