Calzaghe fans,are they for real?

just look at the undecided question section and look at how many question re Calzaghe and Hopkins remain undecided,reminds me of the Hatton fight and all the race and jingoism that went on then.I doubt if yoll hear from them again untill November when' Super Joe' get's beat by Jones,these arent real fight fans at all,what do you think?

I think it's nonsensical to bracket all Calzaghe fans like that. Sure a lot of people pop up for any fighter who's doing well, but Calzaghe has had a good loyal following for years.

Well i am a big Calzaghe fan who has been using this site for years and i havent gone anywhere and dont intend to.

Its hard for me to work out how you can ask a question like this when you have only used the site a couple of times ??? How have you worked out Calzaghe fans arent for real on this site when you have only used it twice ???

so if we not real fight fans wot are we,,and as it goes for u saying that jones will beat calzaghe,,didnt they all say hopkins would beat calzaghe and look what happend ,,he went to the states and won,,that takes some doing for a guy to beat a man from his own country,,and the judges and ref were americans

Nobody wants to listen to your excuses hopkins got beat by calzaghe and he deserved the win.How did hopkins expect to win the fight when he got 1 knockdown a few good shots and then he got tired and kept on clinching while calzaghe was constantly going forward in attack mode?The stats say it all,calzaghe threw more punches and landed more punches on the official statistics.Just because b hop got a knockdown doesnt mean anything a great champion fights back and wins.

ive learned to ignore most of the questions directed towards calzaghe...there wasnt much about joe till he beat a 43 year old man...and now everyone thinks hes a boxing God. i swear some of these questions are getting outright ridiculous, people are trying to match up calzaghe with REAL legends. the man may have won the fight but he didnt look that impressive to me. have him beat someone relatively young and in their prime (and do it in an entertaining and skillful manner) and youre questions will be validated...but for now its becoming absurd and it needs to stop

and no a good majority of the "fans" arent real fans theyre people jumping on the calzaghe bandwagon....cuz like i said up there i havent seen much written about joe till this fight happened.

If you had seen the rest of Calzaghe's fights you would see why people think he is good, Hopkins is obviously a very very good fighter to have made the money he has done and Joe went 12 rounds with him and 2 judges awarded Joe the fight, so as professional judges they witnessed a better fighter.

Come November and Roy Jones, whether Calzaghe wins or loses he will be £20 million better off and he can head into retirement knowing his family has financial security for the rest of their lives, just hope if it is his last fight he does not get injured, he looks after his money, stays retired and enjoys it, + I think he will win anyway !

It should be a good fight anyway, I think him and Jones have a mutual respect, whereas I bet Hopkins can't even respect his mother with that mouth !
