  1. Joe should win this fight! If you want to read about this fight head on over to http://www.fightjunkie.com/predictions they have a write-up on the fight and also a forum where you can go and chat about this and many other fight related stuff.

  2. okay listen

joe calzaghe has fought no one in his 10 or so year reign

    absolutely no one,

he talks so much trash trying to mr big like the mayweathers and hopkins of the boxing world he called "popkins" i think he just sturred up sum bad ingredieants!

he beat peter manfreido jr, WOW! thats exactly it! hu is that guy!! a contender reject!! hopkins is mr boxing! A LIVING LEGEND!!

this sunday we will see hopkins win in 7th round KO sorry calzaghe but u suck!!!

calzaghe: it wont be 1000 punches from me just 500 or 600

hopkins: he is going to punch me 500 or 600 times but hes goin to leave him self open 500 600 times!!

P.S amir khans an arrogant ******!

    x*x

  3. it's tremedously hard to bet against joe c.  with his speed, agility, not to mention his tough chin.  joe calzaghe via unanimous decision.

  4. Calzaghe, because he is the man...........don't know what round.

  5. Calzaghe should win the fight.  He is a naturally gifted fighter and has more than enough skill and determination to win.

I doubt the Hopkins taking the p*ss out of Calzaghes dad would help his cause.

  6. Calzaghe, he's the best,....in 8.

The only way he could lose is if it's close (or even quite close) in his favour and the American biased judges rule against him. As he said himself....had this bout been in Wales it would be a foregone conclusion.Joe has beaten everyone America has thown at him so far....what else can the man do?? His long, unbeaten record speaks for itself.

If Hopkins is that good what happened in his four losses and a draw?

  7. calzaghe but it will go the distance and i think it willbe close

  8. Calzaghe cannot and will not be beaten...

    Cymru am byth!

  9. Calzaghe!!!! he's fit as and Welsh like me :)

  10. Calzaghe will beat that racist "i'll never lose to a white boy" hopkins into a sorry mess on the ground

  11. BERNARD HOPKINS- 10th rd KO. Hopkins has fought real fighters and has the experience and is about 20 times tougher than Calzaghe. Joe has never fought a real champ.

  12. kieren i dont agree

    kesseler

    brewer

    reid

    eubank

    lacy

were all world champions, all the fighters with big names that hopkins beat were blown up and not natural middles

  13. Calzaghe is gonna give B-Hop a masterclass in Boxing.

    Up the Welsh!

    Ill say Round 8.

  14. Anyone at this stage in the game who would trash either of these fighters, who refuse to trash themselves recently, is either a die hard fan, via virtue of where they live, or a racist. Neither of which has any weight on the fight.

Now, generally I make bets on fights, and usually when you do, the safest route to use is pedigrees. Who has the fighter fought? What challenges has he had? Who has challenged him in the past?

Now, despite pre fight hype, and despite his stellar record, this does go against Joe Calzaghe. True he has had that record for ten years, but the truth of it is that he has only fought contender level competition to keep it. Mike Tyson looked threatening when he fought Lennox Lewis, until you took into account that he hadnt fought on a championship level for eight years.

Even his wins over Lacy and Kessler were just wins over guys whos entire plan are "Walk in..punch him, knock him out" plans. Even Chris Eubanks wasnt THAT kinda boxer. And honestly that is the only person Calzaghe has faced with a basic understanding of how to box on a master level.

Anyone can look great when all you beat are journeymen.

Now although I dont think it impossible that Calzaghe can eek out a win...and barely do it....I dont think that his amateurish style of squaring shoulders and two handed firing is going to do it for him. Honestly Hopkins will be the stronger between the two of them...and for him to square up his shoulders and flurry will cause him to take a punch from a PROFESSIONAL champion...which will not be the pity pat punches he is used to.

Between that and Calzaghe's off handed remarks, I dont think he is taking this fight very seriously. And I think historically, the most dangerous thing you can do, is to underestimate Bernard Hopkins.
