  1. Calzaghe is undefeated and has been champion 10 years. He should be in the top 3. Hopkins is ranked too high and the undefeated Pavlik is ranked too low. Pavlik beat Taylor who beat Hopkins! Pavlik should be in the top 5 for sure!

  2. Calzaghe is the new and authentic P4P

  3. ALL of their rankings are out of wack.  Look at their all-time heavyweight rankings- they have Floyd Patterson as number 3 of all time!  I mean he was a good fighter, but there's no way that he was the third best heavyweight of all time.  Just like there's no way that Calzaghe is the best pound for pound fighter in the world right now.  Their rankings are done by a points system which can sometimes work, but most of the time, it just makes their rankings look stupid.  I would definately put Calzaghe somewhere in the pound for pound rankings, but there's no way that he is number one right now above Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

  4. thats the best boxing site and im not shocked it was said in the beginning before they even fought that who ever won the hopkins vs calzaghe fight would p4p best..... but i dont agree calzaghe shouldnt even be in the top 5.

  5. Ha ha ha ............ your joking right?

  6. Yeah. he has beat a few top ranked fighters lately. I mean floyd is a top p4p but you have to keep fighting top fighters to get there. when you are not being active it is easy to get moved aside

  7. Every site or boxing writer has there own pound for pound boxing rankings.

Normally people tend to follow RING magazine rankings

heres there pound for pound list

  8. Aww.. the P4P debate. It's really tought o say who should be #1. When you look at Calzaghe, yes he is undefeated, yes he has been champ for over a decade, but who has he really fought? He has only been in the American boxing eye for about 3 years now. Ok so he beat Hopkins? Yes Hopkins looked d**n good for a guy that is 42 years old, but the executioner hasnt been the same since droping two to Taylor. Besides that who has he beaten? Mikkel Kessler (great fighter but not a P4P best) Peter Manfredo?? Manfredo lost to Alfonso Gomez who got killed by Cotto. Jeff Lacy? Ok so he beat Lacy a young up and coming fighter? So what? No one in the US knew Calzaghe till he beat Lacy and that's only because Lacy was the young up and coming prospect. Dont get me wrong though i love "Super" Joe. But up until the Hopkins fight he has spent a decade fighting mediocre UK fighters in the Super Middlewight division. Never fought RJJ in his prime or any of ther other elite at Light Heavy.  Lets face it the Super Middleweight division is no Welterwight division where its completeky stacked. Lets see Joe fight against some of the current Super Mids like Edison Miranda or Jermain Taylor. h**l even Allan Green! Then maybe we can start talking about Calzaghe as a P4P best.
