Calzaghe v Pavlik who wins?

Now i know what the majority will say, and that is that Pavlik is too good or much younger and determined than Calzaghe etc. Thats bol@#*ks if you ask me. Calzaghe for me would be too experinced and to technically good for Pavlik. From what i have seen in Pavlik all he has really is the big punches, and Calzaghe would not wear for that so for me Calzaghe on points of even late K.O

PAVLIK IS THE BIG HITTER BUT ONLY TWO WORLD TITLES FIGHTS AND ONE WAS GARY LOCKET. SO ON THAT I DON'T NO IF HE WOULD STAND A CHANCE WITH JOE.

HE BEAT TAYLOR BUT GOT A LUCKY BRAKE IN NOT BEING STOPPED  IF IT DID HOW COULD YOU SAY ITS WRONG TO STOP IT AT THAT POINT  BUT HE KOd TAYLOR SO IT TURNED OUT RITE..

BUT PAVLIK IS UNPROVEN AND JUST 2 TITLE FIGHTS

IS RANKED 7th POUND 4 POUND...AS THEY NEED A USA FIGHTER IN THE TOP 10..HE HAS NOT DONE WHAT THE TOP 30 FIGHTERS HAS AND IT TOOK COTTO TILL NOW TO GET TO 6th NOT IN JUST 2 FIGHTS...MAYBE ITS ME BUT I WAS THINKING THEY HAD TO WORK HARD 8 TITLE FIGHTS AND SWEAT BLOOD

TO GET IN THE TOP 10 P4P RANKS. WELL 28 NOW AND GETTING ON SO MAYBE HE WORTH HIS RANK IN TODAY'S GAME AS THEY

I THINK FIGHT ARTHUR ABRAHAM 1ST AND PROVE THAT HE IS WHAT THEY SAY HE IS. FIGHTING HOPKINS AT 43 -44 WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

HOPKINS IS SOME HOW RANKED 4TH P4P IN THE WORLD..

I THINK PAVLIK IS GOOD ONE OF MY FAVE IN TODAY'S BOXING

BUT NEED TO SEE SOME MORE 1ST ALSO I NEVER SEEN A FIGHTER JUMP UP THE RANKINGS SO FAST.LEGENDS NEVER DID OR GOT AS HIGH...THEY EARNED

I think Calzaghe too. At 36, hes been around much longer than Pavlik, and beaten all challengers without any sign of his skills fading. Will Pavlik still be undeafeated in 10 years time? Joe is is not rated enough for what he has achieved.

I think Calzaghe wins a hard fought points victory in this one, would definitely be the toughest fight of joes career to date but i believe that Pavliks style of fighting is taylor made for Joes style, Calzaghe has already beat some big hitting but straight forward fighters (Kessler, Lacy) in the last few years, i would say that Kelly may well be the best of the bunch but i still think Calzaghe would have enough to take the decision in this one. I truly believe that the Jones Jr fight is a harder fight for Joe because of styles.

Calzaghe already turned down a Pavlik, Pavlik would mow Joe down inside of 6 rounds.

The only guy of any merit Calzaghe beat was an old Hopkins who had already lost to Taylor twice and Calzaghe did not look great doing it either.

He is undefeated because he fought most of his career over in Europe. He is easy to hit and from what Ive seen does not have a great chin. Hopkins is a pretty light puncher even more so at Light heavyweight and he knocked Joe down.

If Joe fights Calzaghe he will get knocked out cold within 6 rounds.

Who ever said that Pavlik got lucky to survive the knockdown against Taylor should actually watch the fight, Pavlik put his hands down to clown and Taylor hit him with a good shot and followed up putting Kelly down. Kelly got back up and survived the round and came back to knock Taylor out, that's a true champion. That shows not only is he a big aggressive puncher but he has a good chin and good heart making him that much better.

And how do you figure the second fight was close, It was just Taylor trying not to get knocked out. If I good slick boxer does not want to get ko;ed he can get on his bike and run.

Also Taylor beat Hopkins twice and Pavlik knocked out Taylor, now Calzaghe slapped his way to a decision over an end of his career Hopkins and instead of fighting Pavlik he is choosing to fight an end of his career Jones and retire

If he can beat Pavlik and make millions of dollars to do it plus get allot of ad dilation why wouldn't he do it if he thought he could win. Because his father knows he cant and at 36 he does not want to risk his son getting hurt and scratching his undefeated record that's why.

Definately dont agree with you Jonesy, my reason being that as a man that fought Joe in Gaelic Games as an amateur I never considered him to be impressive.

As a super middleweight beating Eubank was no great feat, after that who did Joe fight, Im now a huge fan and I only emember after Eubank Jeff Lacy of any name, granted it was a rubbish weight with little competition but I would put Hatton as Englands no 1 pound for pound fighter, (he moved up a weight and won and moved down again and fought a champion)

Ok who did Joe beat of World Class?

Kessler? This man has never ever fought outside of copenhagen again poor contenders,

Hopkins? 5 years ago poor Joe would of been made retired by the class act hopkins, Joe fought a washed up hopkins, they should of took Hopkins purse as I feel he didnt try to win,

Now we have Roy Jones Jr, again another past his best champ,

Compare Calzaghe to Hagler? Hagler fought the best avoided no-one,  Anyone could name at least 8 of Haglers opponents,

Joe has 45 fights and Id rate an average Kessler, who else maybe Lacy who was rubbish,

Pavlik totally a different class of fighter and would stop welsh joe,

It would be ludicrous to think that Calz could win.  But  you will give the points to someone who thinks like you.

We'll know the result when Pav faces BHop... the BHop - Calz fight was competitive.

If Pav crushes Bhop- then he would also crush Calz...

if the BHop fight is close, then it might be a good fight between Pav and and Calz and so on...

Honestly?  Calz would be ripped a new one.  He turned down a big money fight from Pav who is smaller than Calz... what does that tell you?
