In Camarillo, there is California State University at Channel Islands (http://www.csuci.edu/).  Nearby in Thousand Oaks there is Cal Lutheran (http://www.callutheran.edu/).  And further away but still commutable are Pepperdine in Malibu (http://www.pepperdine.edu/) and University of California at Santa Barbara (http://www.ucsb.edu/).
