  1. no

I would not pay over $50 for a non-working project car. What does mostly rebuilt mean-it's either rebuilt or not. Why is the fuel line leaking, if it is rusty there is a good chance the rest of the metal on the car and under is in the same condition (hint: check the underside of the floor boards). Most people (rational) would not put tons of money into rebuilding a car engine to lose lots of money on the repair when they sell the vehicle. Did this person find a big problem with the vehicle that is preventing it from starting.

  2. if the body is decent and not full of bondo and the interior is pretty good I would give the man $800 as 87's are good looking camaro's and you can take your time and fix it up as you get the money and even put another engine in it down the road, that year camaro is at rock bottom price right now but in a few more years it will be getting the big dollars like the older ones.

  3. If the fuel line is truely leaking, then yes it will make it hard to start. The pump can't  pump efficiently if it is not a completely sealed system!

As far as the question of it being a good car, you could not describe the car good enough to answer this without seeing it.  keep in mind you get what you pay for and if you cant work on it yourself, it will prob. break you in the long run. Good Luck!

  4. well matt i have an 85 camaro first thing is look at what u might do with it camaro they are getting harder to find and gm isn't making to many parts for them i would assume it has injection in it this might be a crazy idea but i tried it if u wanna hear it run and the gas line is broke try hookin a rubber hose to the line from a gas can to see if it does run or if its carburated try hooking the hose to the fuel pump this is only to try to see what the engine sound like of course but if u really like the car think about it. i bought a camaro off of a  guy said it leaked oil for a 1000 and come to find out the valve cover gaskets were bad 800 sound pretty good to me but i would give him 700 or 600 to leave u room to fix it  i have had my car for 4 years and never thought about buyin it twice good luck i would buy it
