Cambelt Change Frequency

my cambelt was changed in february 2007 and the car had done 59000 miles, its now reading 75000 miles, is the cambelt due for a change yet or not yet? and of not, when wud it need changing?

  1. Big engined Vauxhalls are recommended at 60,000 miles.


  2. 306 diesel belt change every 75000 miles under normal conditions every 45000 under adverse conditions that is based on on 1993 diesel onwards 306 petrol every 72000 under normal conditions every 54000 miles under adverse conditions hope that will help you good luck

  3. 60 to 80k is standard recommended interval of most auto makers

  4. around about every 40000 miles, costs alot less to replace than to have it break

  5. you can change it now if you wish. I think 40,000 is the limit for me with rubber belts. But they do wear as the miles pile up so 25,000 is a good time to change either a cam belt or a timing belt.
