Cambushmore to prevail in the Jackie Bailey Memorial Open 525 Semi-Final on 31st March, 2012.
Shelbourne Park will host the Grade OR Jackie Bailey Memorial Open 525 Semi-Final on 31st March, 2012. The race holds a purse of €100 which the six hounds will be competing for over a distance of 525 yards.
Cambushmore will race as a favourite today with winning odds of 5 to 2. The son of Head Bound, out of Maryanns Venture, will compete against Lolos Joe, Slick Seattle, Swords Jacko, Local Chief and General Public.
Trained by G. Holland, the black hound has had a brilliant season. He has retained his consistency and composure, and achieved three victories in the season. He does not have the particular benefit of familiarity with the track as he has raced at different
venues such as Cork, Shelbourne Park and Harold’s Cross.
He triumphed in the Grade A1 Swords Prince @ Stud A1 525 Semi-Final at Shelbourne Park on 18th February, 2012 where he had the huge advantage of being evening’s favourite. He completed the 525 yard distance in 28.54 seconds.
He raced as a favourite with odds of 5 to 4 at Cork on 17th March, 2012, where he succeeded over Cashen Malouda by an immense margin of 6 lengths over a distance of 330 yards in 17.50 seconds.
Lolos Joe will be racing against Cambushmore today. The son of Droopys Maldini, out of Lolos Choice, has an advantage over Cambushmore as he has completed at Shelbourne Park before. This familiarity will work in his favour, and he may be an obstacle in Cambushmore’s
way.
He entered the 1890 269 969 Open 525 at Shelbourne Park with odds of 2 to 1 and stole the show. He defeated Fastaway King by 1 ½ lengths in 28.60 seconds. Trained by Craven, the hound’s training will take form on the track today as his aim is to win.
He acquired a placed position in the Bettor.com Scottish Derby Trial Stake 2012 Open 525 at the same track on 17th March, 2012. He stood third as he missed the finish as a runner-up by 1 length. His finishing time was 28.95 seconds against the
winner, Shes A Tornado’s, time of 28.85 seconds.
Cambushmore will be keeping a keen eye on the victory today but his run may be challenged by Lolos Joe who will hinder his path and try to take this race.
